Croatia: the place to relax

Croatia Vacation

Croatia is a great place to enjoy your summer vacation. Besides the sea and the wonderful weather, there are other things to do, to make your holiday more interesting. I must say that we spent most of our time relaxing at the sea side, as we all wanted to do this: relax. But there’s definitely a lot to do if you want, have the time and, yes, money!

——————

Am plecat in Croatia cu gandul de-a ne relaxa, in principal.

Many of you may now that the beach is beautiful, however full of rocks. So don’t forget to take with you some plastic shoes/sandals. If you don’t have any, no worries! The shops have dozens of different types of shoes for water. Another risk is to step on a hedgehog, which can be really painful. So don’t forget about the shoes! And yes, some goggles may help you swim better or look at those cute fishes.

—————–

Am incercat sa-i atrag cu paine, ca in Ibiza (click aici pentru a vedea filmuletul), insa astia erau ceva mai fricosi parca.

Croatia sea Croatia - on the beachKrk Croatia We took the boat to Dubrovnik and we stayed there for one day. We visited the old city, which was really beautiful. I have a thing for these old cities, I fell they’re romantic and I just enjoy walking around them. Here you’ll find tones of restaurants and souvenir shops. I personally believe the souvenirs were too expensive.. I chose to buy some from other places (supermarkets, other cities) and ended up paying around three times less. And for visiting museums, it’s cheaper if you buy one ticket first and you can use it for more locations. Here is a link with more information.

———————

Insa asta doar in cazul suvenirurilor! DubrovnikCroatia Dubrovnik Boat Croatia Dubrovnik CroatiaThe food was nice as well, we ate their traditional Cevapcici and Purgerica, some different types of fish and we tasted some wine and the local spirit (Rakija). Most restaurants had a menu outside so you could see whether you’d like their food, or prices. The staff was also very polite and welcoming, so every time we felt comfortable and enjoyed our meals.

Mancarea mi-a placut! Croatian food

andra croatia 2013I really liked this country: beautiful landscapes, clean water, polite people, good food, good prices, lovely weather – great Holiday!

Mi-a placut mult Croatia: peisaj deosebit, apa curata, oamenii amabili, mancarea buna, preturile bune, vremea placuta – o vacanta grozava!

The Plitvice Lakes, Croatia

Plitvice Lakes CroatiaEN   The Plitvice Lakes is one of the most famous locations in Croatia. This is actually a National Park under the UNESCO heritage and people can visit the place. You can walk around the whole park and just enjoy the nature. Most of the journey is done by feet, but there are also boats and very cute buses that can be used. And for those who want to do more, there are special hiking routes. However, I do not know too much about this. We chose to do the normal routes and paid for two days 180 kuna/person. If you want to read more, here is their official website.

—————-

EN  Even though it was already the end of the summer, the Plitvice Lakes park was too crowded.. These photos were made mainly in the mornings and in the evenings. During the midday, there were people everywhere. So if you want to enjoy it more, avoid the midday – choose to relax on a terrace and have lunch there instead.

—————–

In schimb, puteti sa va opriti in diverse locuri amenajate unde puteti lua masa.

EN  In my opinion, this place is relaxing and nice. However, many places in Romania are comparable to this. Plitvice Lakes are highly advertised everywhere and perhaps I was expecting more. However, it is a great place and I believe it is a must if you visit Croatia.

—————-

RO  Mi-a placut parcul si mi-a prins foarte bine.

The end of Holiday

CroatiaWhile everyone else is talking about Back to School trends, I’m here to talk about, well, holiday! I’ve thought about this and I believe it’s best to give you my Croatia review now, when my memory is fresh and I can provide you with more details. So even if you’re not going on Holiday right now, you will one day (hopefully) and this review can be very handy. Until then, let me describe you my journey.

—————–

Roadtrip Romania - Croatia

On the 1st of September I flew back to Romania to visit my family and soon after that we all went on a road trip to Croatia. We spent some time there and we tried to visit as much as possible. After that, we chose to drive through Montenegro to see the amazing scenery, which was great! Now, I am at home, in my old room, thinking of what I should pack for my trip back to Manchester. Yes, this has been one crazy summer! So what’s next? A crazy autumn! In the next post I want to give you more details about the different places I visited in Croatia and some tips if you want to go there.

A urmat apoi o petrecere bine meritata si dupa, repede mi-am facut bagajele: am venit acasa. Iar a doua zi eram pe masina, in drum spre Croatia. Pentru ca am vizitat mai multe locatii, vreau sa vi le descriu pe fiecare in parte (pe scurt), in urmatorul articol.
