Porto is a very colourful city. It wasn’t very crowded when we went, but I believe people prefer to go there in the summer. You can enjoy a lot of things this city offers, as prices are not high at all. So you’ll be able to visit places, eat out and shop with a reasonable budget.
Yes, there’s a lot of seagulls, too many I think! They didn’t bother me, but on a long term basis.. uff, that’s a lot to handle! On the bright sight, they enrich the beauty of the landscape.
Multi multi pescarusi!
Because of the nice weather, you can already have dinner outside, along the water.
E-o vreme asa placuta pentru cina si plimbari afara, langa apa…
The traditional Porto wine is very sweet, aromatic, with a soft taste. I recommend it!
Francesinha is something you’ll find in Porto only. It’s like a sandwich (with different types of meat, sausages and salami in it), surrounded by fries. They say the secret of the delicious taste stays in the sauce. I really enjoyed this food, but I would have preferred less sauce!
Francesinha e o mancare specifica orasului Porto.
The shopping is not that interesting, I may say. They have small boutiques and a big shop, like Selfridges or Harvey Nichols. I see Porto as a place to relax, to walk, enjoy the beauty of the nature, but not to shop. Which is good, more budget for that wine and francesinha, yum!
For those who don’t know from my Facebook Page, I spent the last days in the beautiful Porto. Although it was a short visit, I really enjoyed the city… it’s so so beautiful, original, romantic, people are friendly and the food is great. Usually, the weather is great as well, but no, of course I didn’t have this luck! So yes, we experienced some rain, and yes, you’ll see some pictures with some round shapes on them – that’s rain drops… but it was a lovely trip and I would like to go back one day, to visit more – not only Porto, but also other places in Portugal.
