Paris Day Two: Eiffel Tower, Great food, Great weather

Paris Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, Holiday, Summer, Romantic tripGet ready to be bombarded with loads of photos in front of the Eiffel Tower. It’s just the best background. It automatically makes every single picture look more awesome. Anyway, let’s get back to our journey: We woke up early in order to get at the Eiffel Tower in time, to avoid the queues. However, they opened the lifts to go to the top after 12pm. So My advice: if you do want to go to the top (which I recommend), go there at around 11 pm so you don’t have to wait too much to see everything. Prices to go up: 9€ / adult – middle. 15€ / adult – top. Waiting in the queues can’t be avoided.. there’s just too many tourists. Just bare that in mind and try not to be bothered by it. We spent there around 3 hours (or more). After that we stayed in the park nearby to enjoy our fresh sandwiches. There was a huge projector with the French Open Final with Maria Sharapova and Simona Halep. We stayed there a bit just because we are great supporters of Simona, as she represents the country we’re from.

After staring at the Eiffel Tower from all possible angles and gardens and places.. we went further to Montmartre. This place was full of interesting shops, beautiful cafes and, the main attraction: Sacre-Coeur. The shops are a bit expensive as they have exclusive products, the cafes and restaurants are comparable to the UK and the entrance to Sacre-Coeur is free.

The final stop was Moulin-Rouge. After that we walked around the city for a bit. It was almost 11 pm and it was still nice and warm. It reminded me of the summers at home. It seemed like the city came to live. More locals were out, drinking on a terrace, talking in their beautiful french and laughing. A lot of laughing. I didn’t want to go back to our hotel. But we were tired.. and I wanted to rest for the next day. We were planning to go to the Louvre. But in the end it turned out to be much more…. to be continued..

Paris Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, Holiday, Summer, Romantic trip

Dupa vizita, ne-am pus in parc de unde puteam sa admiram frumosul turn, in timp ce am mancat putin.

In medie plateam aproximativ 30 € / persoana mancare si bautura.

China Town

When I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. It’s vibrant, full of colour and perfect for the spring. I thought that the best way to make it stand out was to wear some bold lips and bold shoes. And last but not least, the beautiful surroundings of the China Town which was pretty quiet when we got there. That’s because it was early in the morning. During the day though it’s crowded and everyone seems busy going somewhere. And on the benches the older ones are sitting, chatting and looking at the others passing by. Next to them it’s the guy who tries to sell Lebara sim cards, to call abroad. And on the other side of the road are the restaurants which, I may say, are quite good.

——————-

Croatia: the place to relax

Croatia Vacation

Croatia is a great place to enjoy your summer vacation. Besides the sea and the wonderful weather, there are other things to do, to make your holiday more interesting. I must say that we spent most of our time relaxing at the sea side, as we all wanted to do this: relax. But there’s definitely a lot to do if you want, have the time and, yes, money!

——————

Am plecat in Croatia cu gandul de-a ne relaxa, in principal.
Visit CroatiaVisit Croatia

Many of you may now that the beach is beautiful, however full of rocks. So don’t forget to take with you some plastic shoes/sandals. If you don’t have any, no worries! The shops have dozens of different types of shoes for water. Another risk is to step on a hedgehog, which can be really painful. So don’t forget about the shoes! And yes, some goggles may help you swim better or look at those cute fishes.

—————–

Am incercat sa-i atrag cu paine, ca in Ibiza (click aici pentru a vedea filmuletul), insa astia erau ceva mai fricosi parca.

Croatia sea Croatia - on the beachKrk Croatia We took the boat to Dubrovnik and we stayed there for one day. We visited the old city, which was really beautiful. I have a thing for these old cities, I fell they’re romantic and I just enjoy walking around them. Here you’ll find tones of restaurants and souvenir shops. I personally believe the souvenirs were too expensive.. I chose to buy some from other places (supermarkets, other cities) and ended up paying around three times less. And for visiting museums, it’s cheaper if you buy one ticket first and you can use it for more locations. Here is a link with more information.

———————

Insa asta doar in cazul suvenirurilor! DubrovnikCroatia Dubrovnik Boat Croatia Dubrovnik CroatiaThe food was nice as well, we ate their traditional Cevapcici and Purgerica, some different types of fish and we tasted some wine and the local spirit (Rakija). Most restaurants had a menu outside so you could see whether you’d like their food, or prices. The staff was also very polite and welcoming, so every time we felt comfortable and enjoyed our meals.

—————–

Mancarea mi-a placut! Croatian food

andra croatia 2013I really liked this country: beautiful landscapes, clean water, polite people, good food, good prices, lovely weather – great Holiday!

———–

Mi-a placut mult Croatia: peisaj deosebit, apa curata, oamenii amabili, mancarea buna, preturile bune, vremea placuta – o vacanta grozava!

Colourful shoes

colourful shoesI have always thought that a colourful shoe can catch an eye and can definitely make an outfit stand out. I’m not always that playful, but during summer I’ll definitely embrace the colours. I’ve got ballerinas in many shades and I will mix them with anything. My new resolution is to bring this to my autumn-winter collection. I have already seen in shops some burgundy, dark-blue, purple and dark green shades that would look too good in my wardrobe! But let’s stay focused on the summer for now! And for those who don’t like to be too colorful I say: try and wear the shoes with a neutral colour. Try some cute sandals with just a few stripes, so that they won’t stand out too much. I have opted for ballerinas, because I can match them with whatever: trousers, skirts, dresses, you name it!

———–

Am in gand, totusi, sa investesc in pantofi colorati si pe perioada toamnei-iernii.

IBIZA Review

There’s some things I want to share with you if you think of going to Ibiza! First of all, don’t forget to pack a pair of sport shoes: you can go on small trips and those fancy sandals won’t be enough..Luckily I had with me a basic pair of white shoes and I used them…a lot! The island is full of nice places, so maybe you want to rent a car or a scooter. In that case, don’t forget your drivings licence!

Noah buun, daca va hotarati sa mergeti in Ibiza, va recomand cateva lucruri. Seaside - Ibiza

When on the island, buy an equipment for snorkeling (3-15 Euros): the water is crystal clear, with many fishes. Use some bread to attract more – it’s really fun!

Beware of the jelly-fishes! They can be very dangerous, even though they look cute and pink. They burn your skin and leave marks on it. Dan touched them while swimming on the first day. He still has the marks.. it doesn’t hurt anymore, but it’s not pleasant!

Ibiza3Andra – laughing at Dan: ‘really? those cute pink things hurt you?’ – before seeing his skin

Ibiza - beach Ibiza diving
