It’s one thing I’ve always kind of ignored or not paid too much attention to. It all started when I was a child and realised that I was allergic to all my favourite watches and bracelets. My doctor told me that the only metals I can wear is silver, gold and titanium. I was relieved to know what the issue to all my problems was and I suddenly decided to get rid of accessories. It is a bit tricky because I do love accessories, I always admired those girls who use jewellery to change a whole outfit. But you see, I was never good at that because I couldn’t and still can’t wear much. At the moment I have a couple of watches I always change and my rings have been the same for more than a year now. I don’t usually wear earrings, unless I go out. And they all end up in my bag after a couple of hours, when the allergy starts to kick in and I feel uncomfortable.
But I’ve learnt how to play with outfits by keeping it simple with accessories. One trick of mine is: coloured/matchy shoes. Now this is where I like to have fun. Leopard prints, glitter, bright colours – I do have loads of pretty shoes that would make any outfit stand out. I do keep them for special occasions, but they are my accessories. Another favourite of mine is bags. My daily bags are colourful, but also practical. For someone who is not good at accessorising their outfit, all I can say is – invest in just a couple of pieces. Don’t spend too much on pretty things, they’ll end up in a closet. Pick colours that you love. And when you’re lost, just borrow some bits from your friends. Some of us don’t have time to change our bags twice a week, our watch every day and our bracelets on a weekly basis. And that’s okay.

It’s the middle of the night, in the middle of the week. I need to wake up early tomorrow but I just can’t fall asleep. Too many thoughts running through my mind, too many plans I still need to catch up on, too many exciting things happening at the same time. It’s really quiet and I can finally think about the last couple of weeks that went by too fast. I’ve noticed something that I’m not happy about. I’ve been postponing some fun stuff because I was busy with other stuff. Why do we have to cancel the things we like, when we’re too overwhelmed with work, tedious jobs and other things that don’t bring us joy? Why do we always have to sacrifice the good stuff? Naah, I’ve had enough. So I decided to revisit my blog again. And tomorrow I might even call a friend and spend an hour on the phone just because. And after that I’ll do some shopping – afterall it’s the sale season and I still haven’t had the chance to check it out! What I’m trying to say is, don’t forget to do some fun things especially when you feel you have no time. That’s when you most need it.

We’re a generation that struggles to get a house and settle down. We don’t like saving. We’d rather enjoy our youth and spend our money on travelling, experiences and too many drinks over the weekend. But you know what? Life is short. And it’s a lesson I’ve learnt again after the tragic event that happened in Manchester. It’s so sad and scary and just so unfair. What am I personally gonna do about it? Spread positivity and enjoy the privilege of being alive, healthy and free to enjoy this beautiful world. We’re so damn lucky.
Dress – French Connection (find it here)
A lot of veggies, a bottle of fresh squeezed orange juice, special Italian salami, Greek olives and some home baked bread – that’s what I call a perfect picnic menu! I enjoyed every single bit of it and shortly after that, I fell asleep on the blanket. I woke up with a big labrador sniffing me, I was a bit surprised I’m not gonna lie, but he was the cutest. He seemed very keen to join me on the blanket but decided to play with Dan for a bit instead.
I found this dress just as I was walking out of Primark. I couldn’t believe how pretty it is. And it’s even prettier in real life, it’s delicate, flowy and very soft. It’s the perfect dress for a relaxed but feminine look. Wear it with messy hair, no makeup and a bit of tan. I realised we didn’t take any pictures from the back, but the dress is backless too. And it was £15. I got it about 2 weeks ago, so hurry up, while stock lasts!

One of my favourite Spotify playlists is called Sweet Soul Sunday. You know that feeling when you just woke up, no rush to do anything, you go in the kitchen and prepare the first coffee. In the meantime, he comes and kisses you good morning. He’s as happy and relaxed as you are. There’s no better feeling that Sunday mornings. I like to add a playlist to my morning ritual, to make it even more relaxing. The right song would always put me in the right mood, sometimes I’d have the same feeling as when I’m away on holiday. You know when you usually wake up in a posh hotel with the best view and have that feeling that the world is yours? You’re a bit overwhelmed by so much beauty in this world and all emotions running through your veins. Oh yes, the right playlist and the fresh smell of coffee can really give you this feeling. Today’s song was called Say Yes – Floetry. It’s a kind of song that would send shivers up and down your spine Click Play Below to listen

I might as well give up shaving my legs once and for all. All the effort, all the drama, and no appropriate weather to show them off. I mean, why? Why England, why? And on top of this, you go shopping and there’s floral dresses everywhere. They’re all made of delicate fabrics that won’t keep you warm at all. They must think we all spend our weekends in Spain or something. The struggle is real, especially for someone like me who prefers to wear dresses all the time.
I know there’s this big trend right now to wear a dress on top of your jeans. But short and not so skinny girls like me cannot pull that off, unless you want to look more unflattering. So instead, I prefer to go back to my old habits: chunky knit on top. And if you match the colours like I did, it looks like one single clothing item.
And if you are one of those lucky girls who lives in a warm country, well.. I’m not jealous of you because you must be broke right now considering how pretty the new ss17 dresses are.

Not long ago I was moaning about being constantly sick. Because of this, I was very dehydrated and my skin wasn’t having it. I’m still not where I wanna be, but I have been focusing a lot on this: invested in some
crazy expensive serums and had one or two facials, as you do.
Today I want to talk more about the last facial I had at Flint+Flint in Harvey Nichols Manchester. My Transderm facial left my skin so soft and hydrated, I had to give you a shout about it. I basically had 45 minutes of bliss when the lovely lady deep cleaned my face and then started using this tiny electric tool with micro-currents to massage my skin. The purpose of this facial is to offer a firming and tightening treatment for any skin type: it will get rid of fine lines, it will deep clean your skin and get rid of annoying blemishes. Long story short – after this treatment you look rested, fresh and glowing. I think the perfect time to do the Transderm facial is just before a special event.
The whole experience was lovely and I can’t wait to go back. The girls recommended to do this on a regular basis for a better skin. They also recommend using the Flint+Flint products at home for the best results. Because having a facial is still a bit of a luxury thing for me, I can’t stick to it. But I honestly think it does wonders to my skin and I will probably go for it before a special occasion.
My treatment costs £75, but feel free to see the whole price list here. They also do discounts for multibuys and encourage everyone to give them a call for the best price offers.
I am more and more interested in skin care nowadays, so please let me know if you have any quick tips in a comment below. What is your beauty regime? Share your wisdom! 🙂
Dan decided to go for a swim, so he quickly undressed and ran towards the cold water. A dog joined him but that was pretty much it. Everyone else was looking at Dan and betting on how long he will manage to stay in the cold water. Some guys would even look at me and give me that look, saying: “he’s a brave man!” I would smile proudly back and say: “oh yes, he is!”
After a couple of minutes, or an eternity (depending on which side of the story you are – myself or Dan’s) he came back. It’s like it was meant to be, the sky cleared out and it became really warm and sunny. So we decided to just lay there, get some extra vitamin D.
I closed my eyes and all I could hear was the water. I almost fell asleep when a cute fluffy dog came to sniff me, check if I was alright. Oh, how I want a dog! And a cat. Or two..
We only spent a couple of hours there, but this day on the beach was all I needed. It’s been overwhelming lately for both Dan and I. With late evenings, nothing to eat in the fridge, always running late and just too many things on the to do list. I was never the biggest beach lover, but this day at the beach was so calming that we literally felt more energised, more put together than ever. And that’s why I love to travel 🙂

I’ve made it a habit into reviewing my life every time I turn one year older and I usually am not afraid to share my thoughts with you on my blog. It’s been almost a month since I’ve turned 27 and realised I forgot about my good old habit. But no worries, today I’ve finally found the time to talk to you about what I’ve learnt this last year. And that is
You Are Stronger Than You Think You Are
What many people don’t know is that last year I decided to take on a very exciting journey that literally meant no security, no comfort zone, no nothing. I’m not gonna give you all the cheesy details, but I basically stopped everything I was doing and decided to reinvent myself. The biggest thing was to quit my secure job. Why? Because it just didn’t feel right. Was it easy? Hello no. Was I constantly tempted to go back to how things were? Hell yes. It was frustrating sometimes, very frightening especially at first but I was on a mission. And I stuck to it. It was the best decision I ever made and even though it wasn’t an easy journey, I feel like I’ve learnt so much in the last year, it’s just incredible. And by being this brave (because this is brave, no modesty needed), I became way more confident and ready to take on new challenges.
I didn’t just leave my job, I decided to change my mindset. I decided to make the most out of my skills, experience and my goals. I decided to take it to the next level. Some of you might read this and think I must be high or something, but when you get that drive, that desire to do something great, then you’ll know what I mean. And if you have no desire, than you better find one, because you only live once.

It’s time for a proper spring clean in my closet and just realised how many clothes are hanging in there, without being worn. Why? Because I seem to always stick with the basics lately. And we all want a good timeless piece in our wardrobe. So I wanted to mention one of my favourites: MsCampbell.
A London born girl, Charlene is behind this awesome brand and decided to put her love for fashion and 20 years experience in this field into creating a unique brand. The pieces are made from premium jersey and are designed and manufactured in London. It’s too good not to give it some love, here, on my blog. I’ve popped some images below with my favourite pieces and you can also have a look on the official website here.
Charlene is one busy bee! On top of having her own brand and an awesome book, she’s also a celebrity stylist. I had a pleasure to work with her previously and we had a chance to talk more about our love for fashion. Here’s something she said I really resonated with: Trends come and go but your wardrobe essentials are timeless. I started MsCampbell to fill the gap in the market; instead of indulging in fast fashion, why not invest in pieces that you can always wear by simply dressing them up by layering with sweaters or jackets or dressing them down to lounge in?
