Dan decided to go for a swim, so he quickly undressed and ran towards the cold water. A dog joined him but that was pretty much it. Everyone else was looking at Dan and betting on how long he will manage to stay in the cold water. Some guys would even look at me and give me that look, saying: “he’s a brave man!” I would smile proudly back and say: “oh yes, he is!”
After a couple of minutes, or an eternity (depending on which side of the story you are – myself or Dan’s) he came back. It’s like it was meant to be, the sky cleared out and it became really warm and sunny. So we decided to just lay there, get some extra vitamin D.
I closed my eyes and all I could hear was the water. I almost fell asleep when a cute fluffy dog came to sniff me, check if I was alright. Oh, how I want a dog! And a cat. Or two..
We only spent a couple of hours there, but this day on the beach was all I needed. It’s been overwhelming lately for both Dan and I. With late evenings, nothing to eat in the fridge, always running late and just too many things on the to do list. I was never the biggest beach lover, but this day at the beach was so calming that we literally felt more energised, more put together than ever. And that’s why I love to travel 🙂

I’ve made it a habit into reviewing my life every time I turn one year older and I usually am not afraid to share my thoughts with you on my blog. It’s been almost a month since I’ve turned 27 and realised I forgot about my good old habit. But no worries, today I’ve finally found the time to talk to you about what I’ve learnt this last year. And that is
You Are Stronger Than You Think You Are
What many people don’t know is that last year I decided to take on a very exciting journey that literally meant no security, no comfort zone, no nothing. I’m not gonna give you all the cheesy details, but I basically stopped everything I was doing and decided to reinvent myself. The biggest thing was to quit my secure job. Why? Because it just didn’t feel right. Was it easy? Hello no. Was I constantly tempted to go back to how things were? Hell yes. It was frustrating sometimes, very frightening especially at first but I was on a mission. And I stuck to it. It was the best decision I ever made and even though it wasn’t an easy journey, I feel like I’ve learnt so much in the last year, it’s just incredible. And by being this brave (because this is brave, no modesty needed), I became way more confident and ready to take on new challenges.
I didn’t just leave my job, I decided to change my mindset. I decided to make the most out of my skills, experience and my goals. I decided to take it to the next level. Some of you might read this and think I must be high or something, but when you get that drive, that desire to do something great, then you’ll know what I mean. And if you have no desire, than you better find one, because you only live once.

It’s time for a proper spring clean in my closet and just realised how many clothes are hanging in there, without being worn. Why? Because I seem to always stick with the basics lately. And we all want a good timeless piece in our wardrobe. So I wanted to mention one of my favourites: MsCampbell.
A London born girl, Charlene is behind this awesome brand and decided to put her love for fashion and 20 years experience in this field into creating a unique brand. The pieces are made from premium jersey and are designed and manufactured in London. It’s too good not to give it some love, here, on my blog. I’ve popped some images below with my favourite pieces and you can also have a look on the official website here.
Charlene is one busy bee! On top of having her own brand and an awesome book, she’s also a celebrity stylist. I had a pleasure to work with her previously and we had a chance to talk more about our love for fashion. Here’s something she said I really resonated with: Trends come and go but your wardrobe essentials are timeless. I started MsCampbell to fill the gap in the market; instead of indulging in fast fashion, why not invest in pieces that you can always wear by simply dressing them up by layering with sweaters or jackets or dressing them down to lounge in?
